Information We Collect
- Account information from Google sign-in, such as your name, email address, profile image, and authentication identifier.
- Profile information you choose to save, including first name and last name.
- Delivery information when you place a delivery order, including phone number, Addis Ababa area, subcity, and optional landmark.
- Order, cart, product, payment status, and payment reference information needed to process and verify purchases.
- Manual payment details you submit, such as payment method, transaction reference, transfer date, optional note, and optional receipt image.
- Low-PII usage analytics, including anonymous visitor ID, session ID, page path, curated actions, search terms, product interactions, and engagement duration.
Information We Do Not Ask For
Jano does not ask you to submit bank passwords, Telebirr PINs, card numbers, one-time passwords, or private banking credentials. Never send those details through Jano.
How We Use Information
We use information to operate the store, authenticate customers, save carts and addresses, verify manual payments, prepare delivery or pickup orders, prevent misuse, improve the shopping experience, understand catalog performance, provide customer support, and comply with applicable business or legal obligations.
Analytics
Jano uses first-party analytics to understand storefront usage and operational performance. Analytics are curated and limited: we do not store raw IP addresses, full user-agent strings, phone numbers, names, addresses, or payment transaction IDs in analytics metadata. When you are signed in, analytics may include your user ID so we can distinguish logged-in customer activity from anonymous visits.
Sharing
We may share limited information with trusted service providers used to run Jano, such as hosting, database, authentication, storage, and delivery partners. Delivery partners receive only the information needed to complete delivery. Payment details may be reviewed with financial or payment institutions when necessary to verify a transfer, resolve a dispute, or comply with lawful requirements.
Retention
We keep order and payment records for business, audit, tax, fraud prevention, and legal purposes. Saved addresses and profile details are kept until you update or remove them, subject to operational or legal retention needs. Analytics are reviewed periodically and may be aggregated or deleted when no longer useful.
Your Choices
You can update saved profile and delivery address information from your account. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to records Jano must keep for completed orders, payment verification, safety, or legal compliance.
Security
Jano uses role-based staff access, Supabase security controls, row-level access policies, audit-oriented records, and provider-managed infrastructure safeguards. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but access is limited to what is needed to operate the business.
Changes
Jano may update this policy as the service, legal requirements, or operational processes change. The latest published version applies when it appears on jano.nardian.app.
